Enabling Burq Delivery Cancellation Notifications
Stay on top of cancelled deliveries by setting up both email and SMS alerts.

In the Email Notification section, find Cancelled Burq Deliveries.
Check the box to enable.
- Assign an email address to receive alerts.
- What you’ll see: When a delivery is cancelled, the assigned recipient will receive an email titled:
“Urgent: Burq Delivery Order #[Order Number] Cancelled”
The email includes a direct link to the Burq Dashboard for quick action.
- What you’ll see: When a delivery is cancelled, the assigned recipient will receive an email titled:
Text (SMS) Notifications
In the same Store Notifications section, go to the Text Notification tab.
Locate Cancelled Burq Deliveries.
Enable the setting and assign a valid mobile number.
What you’ll see: SMS alerts display:
“Urgent: Your Burq delivery has been cancelled. Please log into your Burq Dashboard to take action.”
Setting a Preferred Delivery Contact Number
By default, Burq drivers will call the pickup location if they need help with the order. You can override this by setting a dedicated delivery contact number, such as a catering manager.
Assigning a Delivery Contact Number
Navigate to Admin > Global Settings > Burq Delivery Settings.
Find the section labeled Delivery Contact Number.
Enter a direct phone numberc(e.g., catering manager or delivery coordinator).
Click Save.
Result: This number will now be shared with Burq drivers instead of the pickup location, ensuring calls or texts go to the right person.
Best Practices for Notifications
Assign multiple notification recipients if your team spans multiple locations.
Use a mobile number for delivery contact to ensure calls or texts are received promptly.
Review notification settings regularly, especially when staff roles change.
