Overview

The Fax Status Report lets you review the status of any fax communications sent or received through your CaterZen account. This report is helpful for confirming whether a fax was successfully delivered, tracking send/receive times, and reviewing the status of marketing or order-related faxes.


Each fax record includes key transmission details so you can troubleshoot failed sends and verify delivery confirmation.


Accessing the Report

  • Go to the More tab in your CaterZen account.

  • Select ReportsData Export Reports.


  • Click Fax Status Report.

  • Choose your Date Range

  • Click Generate Report.



Understanding the Report

The exported Excel file includes the following details for each fax:

  • Date and Time Sent or Received

  • Fax ID

  • Recipient Fax Number

  • Current State (e.g., Sent, Delivered, Failed)

  • Total Pages

  • Duration of Transmission

These details allow you to confirm the status of each fax and identify any transmission errors.


Common Use Cases

  • Order Confirmation: Verify that order-related faxes were sent successfully to kitchen printers or vendor partners.

  • Troubleshooting: Identify failed or incomplete transmissions to resend documents quickly.

  • Record Keeping: Export fax history for audit trails or proof of communication with customers or vendors.

  • Marketing Review: Confirm whether fax-based campaigns reached intended recipients.


Exporting or Sharing

At the top of the page, you can:

  • Print, Download, or View in Excel for further review.

  • Email the Report to yourself or another team member.


Best Practices

  • Run this report periodically if you rely on fax confirmations for orders or internal notifications.

  • If multiple faxes fail, double-check the associated fax number and ensure the recipient’s line is active.

  • Combine with Email Status or Phone Notification Reports for a complete communication audit.

  • Consider archiving monthly exports for compliance or record-keeping.
