This article will go over the two setting choices that you have when you update prices in your CaterZen software and how the update will affect previously created orders. You have the option to choose if you want previously created orders to keep the original pricing of when the order was created or you can choose to have the pricing updated.

Below are step by step instructions on how to choose the setting for price changes to previously created orders
1 - Click the Admin tab
2 - Under the Global Settings section click the Order Entry Settings bubble - then click the Order Edit Price Settings link
3 - There you will see the setting: When Opening An Order for Editing, Do Not Update Prices to Current Pricing.
If you check the box off then the pricing will NOT update. If the box is left un-checked then the pricing WILL update.
4 - Note that if the box is checked off there will be a warning message to let you know what the current price of a menu item is and the price that has been loaded for that order. See example below:
