This guide shows you how to compose, send, and review customer emails entirely within CaterZen’s CRM tab. By using the built‑in email tool, you can keep every message—and any replies or attachments—tied directly to a customer’s record for easy reference and full conversation history.
Before You Begin
Make sure you’ve added your email signature in CaterZen.
Confirm you have the correct Gmail integration set up under your Google Connected settings. See CRM - How to Set Up Google Integration for detailed instructions.
Sending an Email Through the CRM Tab
Open the CRM Record of your Customer
Click CRM in the main menu.
Search for and select your customer’s name to open their record.
Launch the Email Composer
Click the Gmail icon at the top of the record.
Compose Your Message
In the pop‑up editor, enter your Subject and Body.
Use the formatting toolbar to adjust font, size, color, insert images, or add links.
Your pre‑configured signature will automatically appear at the bottom.
Attach Files (Optional)
Click Choose File, locate the file on your computer, and upload.
Confirm the attachment appears below the editor.
Send and Confirm
You can also create a follow‑up task linked to this email—to help remind you of any next steps.
Click Send Email.
When the “Email sent” confirmation appears, click OK.
The sent email now lives under your client’s record, visible in the Action column.
Viewing a Customer’s Reply
Customer replies arrive both in your regular email and in CaterZen.
Open the CRM Record
Go to CRM, find your customer, and click their name.
Open the Email Thread
Click the Gmail icon.
Scroll through the list to find the message.
A paper‑clip icon indicates the reply includes an attachment.
View or Download
Click the View icon in the Action column to read the reply.
To save any attachments, click Download and open the file on your computer.
Exit the Thread
When finished, click the ✖ in the top‑left of the pop‑up to close.
